Conversing with W

William and I talk a lot about "ugly" words that may hurt feelings and about seemingly "nice" words spoken with an ugly attitude. W likes to try different words out to see what he can get away with--some words are made up and some are real. So he says "Mommy, you're a fluckjaw" (obviously made up word) and I give him "the look". He covers his steps by saying "I meant that in a really nice way. I didn't have a ugly attitude".

In church on Father's Day, W made a something for the occasion. In the car on the way home:
he says "I made this for Father's Day"
I say, "okay, we'll mail it to Daddy"
W: "Daddy's not my father"
me: "yes he is, Daddy and Father mean the same thing, Daddy is your father"
W: "no him not"
me: "well, who do you think your father is"
W: "God."
"He made me."
"He made my skeleton."
me: "yes, God made you possible, and he is your heavenly father. But Daddy is your Father"
His little mind is always working but, that seemed to be enough info for W for now.
