We went to the aquarium--and what a day! I did not plan ahead and reserve our time on-line (the original plan was the zoo the day before but fever and hot temperatures changed that)--so, we had to wait in line to get tickets. The wait wasn't too bad, only about 30 minutes. In the meantime, W found some cute, older girls that he tried to show off for. He danced around, "revved" his engine, and made funny faces. The girls were polite enough, but W definitely needs to work on his pick up style. First up was the Ocean Voyager. L was mesmerized by this. You go through a glass tunnel so the fish and sharks are swimming all around you. She just kept looking up and around. Then we went to the Tropical Diver area. W really liked this section because of all the colorful fish. Before we left for the aquarium, he was really curious about how many different colors the fish could be. Onto the Coldwater Quest where we watched the Beluga Whales, Japanese Spider Crabs, and the otters. The Beluga whales are something to be awed but, I am a fan of the playful otters. The last two sections were River Scout and Georgia Explorer. The Explorer area is really neat because you can actually touch things like shrimp, stingrays, and sea stars. W would not touch any of these things. But, he did come close with the stingrays. I touched them all

These lights were endless entertainment for W while we ate lunch. He was so excited every time they changed colors.

You are such an awesome mom to take your children on these educational trips! I love Lauren's fruit dance; it makes me feel like I have really been taking my fruit for granted! :)
