Okay, there is probably going to be a lot of toilet talk from me since since we are in the middle of potty training. That said, I don't know if this is just a trait of the boys in my life or all boys do this. But, like his dad, William never fails to flush the toilet midstream ( he sits backwards on the toilet to pee pee). So, he flushes right in the middle of peeing and then chases the swirling water with the remainder. I do find it quite funny that he does this just like his dad--with no coaching. Do all boys like to chase the swirling water or is it just mine?

Oh, and be thankful this toilet talk was only about pee pee. I do have a greatly disgusting story about poo poo that I will refrain from sharing.

So much in a day

For Lauren, the new food of the week is bananas. She had her first taste of fruit today. I think she was less than jubilant as you can see by the expression on her face. Maybe she will be more excited with a vegetable.

Oh, that big brother is sooo... funny. William was popping package fillers and Lauren found it hilarious. She and her brother share a joy of loud popping sounds.

Lauren was having fun talking in her crib this morning. She is said, by her Neenee, to sound like her Uncle Greg when he was a baby.

Proud Moment

No pictures today--this is about poop. This is strictly to brag about my very BIG Boy. As most of you know William is heavily into potty training. He has been doing a pretty terrific job going pee pee in the potty; poo poo, on the other hand, has been a little difficult. Until yesterday, that is. William went twice yesterday--that's right twice, in the potty. The second time he went to the potty completely on his own. He made his announcement "poop, mommy" and away he went. He was so very proud of himself; his face was glowing . You could see the satisfaction all over his face and definitely hear the satisfaction in his voice when he shared his story with his grandparents. It is a proud moment for a mommy when your little ones make such huge accomplishments!!

Awww!

They are just so precious.

All in a day

Lauren is ready for the paparazzi.

Lauren is learning how to sit up. She can hardly stay up for trying to reach for things to put in her mouth. One good reach and she tumps right over. Her balance is getting better everyday.
William doesn't miss an opportunity to pick and blow a dandelion.

GIVE ME THAT FOOD!

Lauren has eagerly watched her family eat at the table for several months. She has watched every bite go to every mouth. Finally, it is her turn. She started cereal a few days ago and is totally loving every minute of eating.

This is William doing what he calls "building down". That is a hammer he is swinging.

This is the kind of protective gear Lauren needs when it it playtime with big brother.

Lauren is doing her most favorite thing--putting toys in her mouth. It always ends up as her greatest source of frustration because most things just will not fit.
William has fun painting. But mostly he like spreading glue around the paper and adding glitter
Sometimes, we get a little messy. He cleans up pretty good though.
Do I have a budding artist on my hands or what?! William painted a pretty terrific fish. And, of course, it was intentional, ha ha.

William's new "trick"

William has new trick, it's a somersault. He is pretty sure that he is the only one doing this trick. We will keep it between us that kids everywhere know his trick. He is so very proud, doing it over and over and over again. After each roll, with big bright eyes, he proudly exclaims "see it"!

(By the way, disregard the lack of pants. Potty training is in full swing.)

Trip to Mississippi and Florida

This is Lauren's first time in the "big girl" swing. She really got a kick out of being in a swing like that.
Lauren sitting with her Great Neenee.

This is Lauren laughing out loud at Uncle Greg. She really found her laugh during the time we were traveling. It is really one of the sweetest sounds to me.

Trip to Mississippi

William had so much fun with his cousins Hunter and Clayton in Mississippi. The boys built a big Kinex roller coaster, which William absolutely loved. They also, along with Uncle Greg, went fishing. William caught one fish with the help of Uncle Greg which he immediately described as a "whopper"--of course it was only about 3" long. I guess a boy is born knowing how to tell a fishing story. Anyway, after his big catch, William decided it was more fun to throw rocks in the water.

Giddy Up

This is Christmas morning. William was so excited about this horse. He had to take a ride between each present that he actually took the time to open.

Lauren Daniel

This is Lauren watching her brother during tummy
time. He is an endless source of entertainment for her.

New Year's Eve

This is William, Uncle Kyle and his cousin Zachary with our little firework display behind them.

William is always more than thrilled the light display and loud bangs that come with fireworks Lauren did not seem quite as thrilled as her brother. This was her first experience with fireworks
This is William playing with sparklers. With adult supervision, of course
Aunt Misty, William, and Zachary holding their sparklers.
