All about L

L really likes to "help" when I am pulling clothes out of the washer. She usually pulls the clothes out that she wants to and runs off with them. Then I have to hunt for the clothes a make sure they make it into the dryer.
This is a the dropper side of the medicine dropper. L likes to carry them around the house. This time she picked up the dropper and put in on her finger. Then she walked to her brother and pretended to administer medicine to him.

L in Granddad's boots. She usually carries them around the house (poor Granddad has a difficult time finding his shoes after she has gotten hold of them) but, this time she put he legs in with a little help from Grandma.

While W was away visiting his dad, L took the opportunity to cut loose on his trampoline. She seldom gets a chance to use it since W is seldom not on the thing. He not only jumps on it but, stands on it to watch TV.

Little Musicians

Just fun. W and L being silly and playing the piano.

What do I do with this?

L had a great time trying to figure out what to do with this package of wrapping paper. She sat on it and tried to lift it, she dragged from one end and then the other, she carried it around and tried to swing it. The wrapping paper was about 20 solid minutes of entertainment.

Mishmash of pictures

L's first painting experience--with her own paintbrushes, anyway

Hmm... how does it taste...
Not so good. So, I'll make sure I smear the paint all over my hands.

This is was just such a sweet moment. In one of W's stalling moments before bed, he wanted to make sure L had her baby (which she never uses). This evening, she cuddled right up to the doll and caressed her little head.

L LOVES watermelon. She could resist tearing into the half I hadn't cut up yet
The newest move. Anyone who knows L knows she loves to dance. She has some standard moves that go like this--a tilt to the right, a tilt to the left, a full spin around, and the newest move look through your legs.
This is a favorite sitting place for W and L. He calls it their house and will sometimes bring a snack.
My silly children. L thought is was loads of fun to play in Zoe's travel seat. William was sitting in his "fast train". The diaper box was a fast train when I pushed him around the house

The Sledge Farm

After the New Year festivities, we went to south GA to visit Elizabeth and Scott and to meet Madison. Little Madison was very sweet and very interested in W and L--I am not sure she has ever seen such activity. She was especially interested in W's Thomas train and his track. After playing outside for a little while and eating lunch, we headed to the Sledge Farm. They raise dairy cattle and have a few horses out there. L loved the horses--so much so she said "horse" for the first time. "Herse" (not misspelled, that is how she said it) was the cutest little, high-pitched utterance. She also did a little farm work while dragging around a big yellow bucket. W rode on a 4-wheeler out to the cattle field to see the cows. I am pretty sure that he was more excited about the 4-wheeler. Afterwards, he took a stroll on one of the horses. He was so.... happy. The farm was great fun for everyone. Thanks Sledges!

Ringing in the New Year

W, L, I a spent New Years Eve with Wendy and Brenden and Wendy's niece Kaylen. The boy's had great fun playing. They played with Brenden's trick track and set it up so that the last trick, a ramp, sent the car right between Elmo's legs--Boy's! We did fire works with the all the little ones before they all went to bed. The boy's enjoyed them from a safe distance. They were first stationed at the bottom of the steps and after the first one was lit they moved all the way to the top of the steps. Brenden felt like the viewing was much safer from there. L was not a fan of the the fireworks--I was a little surprised, she is usually in the mix with laughter when there is banging and flashing. Wendy and I, well, we stayed up late into the night playing Boggle.
