She CAN talk!

I have, for the last six months, been anxiously watching L's language. It just really didn't seem she was ever going to talk or at least in a timely manner. Some of you know my worry over this already. Of course I know that every child's development is different but, after having chatty W who was talking in two word phrases from about 14 month on with a steady progression to sentences, L's expressive language was looking a little dismal. Notably as compared to her receptive language. Well, HALLELUJAH--The girl can talk. More and more words have been trickling into her vocabulary--duck, mama, meow, dog, Zoe, this?, no, more are some the the words that are regularly occurring.
