Day out with Thomas

Posted by Picasa

We had a very fun day out on Saturday. W, L, and I went to ride on Thomas (for those of you without children, he is a train). W was so excited. There were several activities--let me clarify--FREE activities. W was able to play with a variety of train sets, navigate himself through a hay maze (L went in and then turned around and came right back out), jump in a bounce house, and see a variety of snakes and lizards. He was much more interested in the snakes and lizards than I thought he would be. I had to peel him away so we wouldn't miss our train ride. Then W took a picture with Sir Topham Hatt and listened to a story. L had no interest in being photographed with Sir Topham Hatt nor listening to the story. She was very entertained by a bubble machine outside the story tent. Next, we had a picnic lunch. Lastly, the three of us went on the train ride with Thomas as our engine. Thomas pushed us across Lake Blackshear with all the children encouraging him by saying "Push, Thomas, Push" over and over. Then, with the children saying "Pull, Thomas, Pull", Thomas pulled us back across Lake Blackshear and into the station. And, of course, W had to get a new train--he added Henry to his growing collection.
